Veterans Yoga Project
Veterans Yoga Project, Inc. (VYP) is a 501(c)(3) charitable, educational and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of military veterans. Working in partnership with veteran treatment programs, college student veteran groups, and other community-based veteran service organizations, VYP is on a mission to support recovery and resilience among veterans and active-duty service members, their families and our communities.
VYP’s Mindful Resilience program consists of five tools: breath, meditation, mindful movement, guided rest, and gratitude. These practices are adapted and delivered to maximize their ability to undo the nervous system dysfunctions that underlie symptoms of stress-related conditions. Yoga Dana generously supports VYP’s efforts to support recovery and resilience among veterans in the East Bay by bringing Mindful Resilience to military veterans and family members at the Concord Vet Center and the Oakland Vet Center.
